Training Handbooks

Training Handbooks

Program materials not only supplement effective training, good ones remain a go-to resource for participants long after the training seminar is over.

Dr. Sutton and his wife, Bobbie, have owned Friendly Oaks Publications since 1990, so it only made sense that his most popular training programs and seminars utilize a top-shelf, professionally published, resource handbook. Four of them are pictured below, along with a photo of the interior of one of the handbooks.

These handbooks are 104 pages in length, with four-color, laminated covers. They are marked $21.50, and worth it. When ordered with the training, however, they are heavily discounted to a cost that makes stapled handouts from the copy machine unattractive, indeed. Since the price is printed on the cover, however, there is a perceived “value added” that benefits the sponsor of the training.

Botton line: Folks walk away with a BOOK rather than stapled pages, making it a win/win experience for all concerned. Besides, if participants are provided a valued resource handbook, isn’t it axiomatic they should USE it? What is the value of that?
