Connections: Another tool for addressing difficult behavior in children and adolescents
Current practices in the identification and treatment of personality disorders can be adapted to address difficult and challenging behaviors of children and teens, with no need for any sort of diagnosis. Approaches for sharpening a youngster’s social vision are discussed, as is the creation of “connections” between positive traits and prosocial skills for improvement of behavior. Five ways to help youngsters make these connections are included.
